Mandurah Basketball Association now caters for approximately 1800 players, playing on six days per week. Competitions are offered from beginning juniors to elite State Basketball League teams. The Association continues to grow with Development of players, school holiday camps and competitions being conducted for all levels of skill for fun, fitness and elite competition.

The Mandurah Basketball Association has grown rapidly with players from grass-roots Domestic Competitions and Programs to our WABL representative teams and our NBL1 Elite Athlete Squads. With over 4,000 members on our database, plus a growing social media and non-affiliated membership, we have identified the need for a qualified and experienced Basketball Development and Pathways Officer to join our team.  Our home ground is the $42 million Mandurah Aquatic and Recreations Centre. Return to Basketball after COVID-19 Lockdown.

Mandurah Basketball have been working with City of Mandurah this afternoon, and taken advice from Basketball WA in regards to our return to basketball, following this weekend’s 3 day lockdown. As per the BWA guidelines of no competitions for this week, and in line with State Government restrictions which will be lifted at midnight Saturday morning May 1st, we have postponed the commencement of the Ladies daytime competition by one week and all team contacts notified. Women’s NBL1 Head Coach Announcement

Mandurah Basketball Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Vlad Alava to the position of Head Coach of our Cachet Homes Mandurah Magic Women’s NBL1 team for the next 3 seasons. Vlad is an experienced and successful coach in both WA and NSW, having previously won Championships in both states as Head Coach in the WSBL and Waratah Leagues. Vlad also has extensive coaching experience in the WNBL with the Perth Lynx, West Coast Waves and Sydney Uni Flames teams, as well as WA and NSW State teams. MBA COVID UPDATE

Good afternoon members, This morning there have ongoing discussions with Basketball WA and City of Mandurah following last night's announcement by the Premier regarding restrictions post-lockdown, which will officially end at 6pm this evening. Due to the restrictions which will now be in place until Sunday 14th February - those being face masks being mandatory for everyone in an indoor venue (except Under 12s and those with medical exemptions), as well as a cap of 150 people at a venue at one time, this makes it impractical and difficult to run basketball activities across our Association.
