The Mandurah Basketball Association has grown rapidly with players from grass-roots Domestic Competitions and Programs to our WABL representative teams and our NBL1 Elite Athlete Squads. With over 4,000 members on our database, plus a growing social media and non-affiliated membership, we have identified the need for a qualified and experienced Basketball Development and Pathways Officer to join our team.
Our home ground is the $42 million Mandurah Aquatic and Recreations Centre. This facility includes two new multipurpose sports court’s including a state of the art show court for all SBL games. The opportunity to be a part of this new era for basketball in Mandurah.
OPPORTUNITY:
HEAD OF BASKETBALL PATHWAYS AND DEVELOPMENT
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to fill the above role on a full-time basis.
The role will primarily be responsible for the management and delivery of:
- Community Basketball Development Programs
- Community Engagement Programs
- Coach Education Programs
- High Performance Development & Programs
- Basketball Performance & Delivery of Domestic right through to NBL1 Basketball
- Development & Implementation of the Club’s ongoing Basketball Strategy
This is a senior role and includes the management of staff, volunteers and liaison with external & internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within a basketball organisation and hold senior coaching qualifications and experience.
