CRAIG WATTS

I’m very excited with what 2019 holds for the CACHET HOMES Magic Women. After having the opportunity to work with some great coaches over several seasons I look forward to the future and what it brings. The majority of our local players are back and the depth of local junior talent coming through our Domestic and WABL Competitions heeds an exciting time ahead for the Mandurah Magic women’s program.

I am keen to work and train with our players and to provide them with the opportunity to grow and develop their skills, so as to ensure the success of our Magic squad for many seasons to come.

We are look forward to the challenges that lay ahead in season 2019 as we chase that elusive first championship for Mandurah Basketball Association.

We will be adding two restricted players in season 2019. Ginka Palunsa is returning after a fantastic first season with Magic in 2018 and we are excited to continue to develop the on-court plays and development that goes with having such a key player within our ranks. Delany Junkermier is a shooting guard from Montana State in the USA. We look forward to seeing her out on court and for the depth and international experience she will bring to the team. Key for season 2019 is the return of Carly Boag. After experiencing a season ending injury in 2018, Carly has worked hard with her rehab and will be ready and raring to go mid-way through the season. She will bring an extra depth to our roster and is a crowd favourite.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Magic Board, Magic supporters and all of our fantastic sponsors for your support for the 2019 season.

Let’s go MAGIC!
